Some cinema-goers go to great lengths to pick a blockbuster film for their date night or a weekend matinee. They’ll dig deep into IMDB for information on the director and cast. They’ll watch the trailers (twice) and analyze the film’s reviews and Rotten Tomato ratings. The calendar is marked with the premiere date and pre-sale tickets are in hand. They prepare, prepare and prepare some more for the release of the biggest film of the year, but do they treat the country’s election the same way? The Globe and Mail’s “Prepared” spot asks Canadians to follow similar protocols by following its election coverage when the time comes to choose their nation’s leader.
